NEW: RAW MILK CHEESE

Real cheese is unique. It takes on a texture and tast of its own with each batch being slighty different from the one before.
The cheese we carry is created by Grasse River B Ranch.
The farmers, Jesse and Krista Barton, use fresh raw milk from their pastured Saanen goats to craft a wonderful artisan cheese - and since the end of September, a raw cow's milk cheese is also available, using milk produced by a small family farm whose pastured cows are at the center of their family-run business.
The cheese is aged for 60 days. They strive to create cheese that would be found in Europe's farmsteads for hundreds of years.
We hope you enjoy this raw aged cheese as much as we do!

RAW GOAT'S MILK CHEESE:

This fine-grained, semi-soft cheese is reminiscent of Denmark's Havarti. It is delicious by itself, on a sandwich, crumbled into a salad or melted. We offer it in Plain ('Grasse Plaine'), Garlic ('Grasse Garlic') and Chive ('Grasse Chive') flavors.Grasse River Goat Cheese

Much like a farmstead Muenster Cheese, our cow's milk cheese is mild, semi-soft, and melts beautifully! We offer it in Plain ('Mitas Plaine')and Chive ('Mitas Chive') flavors.

PASTURED CHICKEN (IN STOCK):

The chickens forage green pasture, seeds, many insects as well as locally raised grains.
They are out on pasture in range houses from about 3 weeks old or as soon as it is warm enough for them. They get daily unlimited exerciseand fresh grass in our portable sheds , and reach 14 weeks healthy and crowing!

    Each package contains 2 bone-in breast pieces, 2 legs, 2 thighs, 2 wings, 1 chicken back with neck.)
  • HALF CHICKENS, CUT-UP ($5.50/lb.
    Each package contains one half chicken: 1 breast with bone, 1 wing, 1 thigh, 1 drumstick)

    • CHICKENS FOR RESIDENTS OF NY, NJ, VT, NH, PA, MA, RI, DE, and CT:

    The USDA allows you to purchase a live bird which we will raise for you.
    You need to place a minimum order of 4 birds.
    We will need a deposit of $5 for each bird you would like us to raise. When they are ready, you will be invoiced and given the total.
    The deposit will be deducted from the final total.

    Important: when you check out and are reviewing your order, please indicate in the 'Comments' Area whether you would like your chicken(s) dressed at no extra charge. Also indicate if you would like them delivered at no extra charge.
